The role of UTCN in JUST STREET Project
The Traffic and Road Safety Laboratory from UTCN, as a partner in the Just Street HORIZON 2020 project, provides technical support for the development and implementation of the proposed measures to increase the quality of urban life in Cugir.
The main responsibilities of UTCN in this project are the following:
- Traffic measurements for project implementation stages
- Quantification of the efficiency of the development of bike lanes through measurements in the project implementation stages
- Evaluation of the increase in pedestrian movements through measurements in the stages of project implementation
- Implementing traffic calming measures and increasing pedestrian safety
- Air quality monitoring in the city of Cugir with reference to the implementation stages of the project
- Participation in surveys carried out in order to consult the population regarding the implementation of a sustainable urban mobility project
